Finally got some snow. The Yarbo seems to be pushing more than blowing. Moving speed is set to medium and snow intake is set to 45,. Auger is set to robust. I previously saw a Facebook post talking about setting to get better results. Snow is not fluffy - may be a little on heavy or wet side but not much - its 28 degrees F. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Try the moving speed to slow. Even when I'm blowing wet / heavy snow with my manual blower, if im going too fast it builds up and pushes. Did you coat your auger chute with anything?
Thank you. I was thinking of slowing it down. It seems like someone posted something about the auger height. I have not put any coating on it yet. Do you have something you recommend?

The latest firmware from today does fix the auger height issue that was found on the last update, so that might have been part of it.

I don't actually have my snowblower module yet, it's enroute. However here is what ole ChatGPT suggests. Ill see what others might suggest here before coating mine.

To ensure your Yarbo snowblower chute remains protected and functional in snowy and icy conditions, a high-quality ceramic coating with hydrophobic and anti-icing properties is essential. Here are some good options to consider:

1. HydroSilex OffRoad
Features: Designed specifically for heavy equipment and outdoor machinery. Provides excellent hydrophobic properties and helps prevent snow and ice buildup.
Benefits: Easy application, durable, and resistant to harsh weather conditions.

2. Cerakote Glacier Series
Features: A high-temperature ceramic coating typically used for automotive and industrial applications. It's ideal for protecting metal surfaces from corrosion and wear.
Benefits: Extreme durability, abrasion resistance, and good performance in cold climates.

3. Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating
Features: While marketed for vehicles, this versatile spray-on ceramic coating is effective for other surfaces like metal and plastic.
Benefits: Affordable, easy to apply, and provides a slick surface to minimize ice adhesion.

4. Gtechniq EXO v4
Features: Premium ceramic coating with hydrophobic properties. Designed to repel water, snow, and ice effectively.
Benefits: Long-lasting performance and excellent UV protection to prevent discoloration.

5. Rust-Oleum NeverWet Multi-Surface
Features: Provides superhydrophobic protection to prevent snow and ice from sticking to metal and plastic surfaces.
Benefits: Easy to apply and suitable for quick DIY applications.

Application Tips:
Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the chute to remove any dirt, debris, or existing coatings.
Dry Completely: Ensure the chute is completely dry before applying the ceramic coating.
Apply Evenly: Follow the manufacturer's instructions to apply the coating evenly, ensuring complete coverage.
Cure Time: Allow the coating to cure as per the product’s instructions for optimal performance.
These coatings will help reduce snow and ice adhesion to your Yarbo snowblower chute, making snow clearing more efficient and protecting the equipment from wear and corrosion.
